75% Natural white Blue Faced Leicester Wool with 25 % Grade A Mulberry Silk blended throughout. It is a soft fluffy, silky and strong blend of 75% Blue Faced Leicester Wool and 25% Mulberry silk combed top.
I love BFL fiber and this BFL wool and silk blend is gorgeous as it is, but would dye up beautifully. BFL has a different structure to the hair shaft than other wool fibers, so it makes it have a little bit of shine and nice drape and the fiber takes dyes deeply and strongly. The softness of the silk mixed in makes it extra special and BFL/silk blends dye beautifully with both acid and natural dyes.
Grade A Mulberry silk is the nicest silk, super soft and perfect and with an excellently long staple length. Perfect to blend with the long staple length of Blue Faced Leicester wool, which is a long wool breed.
